Some of the women and children stay in the temple, but most leave to join the Cherusci so Epona and Siegfried can negotiate.

After discussing their stay, Epona returns in the evening to see Nitocris for what they talked about the day before. @NoLongerdEd

She went and interacted with those that remained here within her castle as the other two began to speak.

Meeting Epona again, Nitocris would greet her with a slightly confident smile. "Ah, just on time. I was about to go ahead and search for you Epona!"

[Strauss and Siegfried would lead Peter to the location as well @ArbyOrNotToBe ]

Epona sizes her up since it's rare for her to be this eager.

"You look happy."

"Eh? Have I looked gloomy recently?" Upon being mentioned of such thing, Nitocris frowns as she was worried.

"No, not gloomy."

Epona shakes her head.

"It's not important. More importantly, I'm ready to receive your spell."

She doesn't understand magic that well, so she phrases it awkwardly.

"Ah goodness, you made me worried for a moment there." Nitocris let out a sigh, relieved that she didn't made any un-Pharaoh like appearance. "Errr, sure! Let's sit down to somewhere comfortable first shall we? It'll take a bit time." Nitocris gesture her on a nearby seat, Smilling to reassure her. She of course, doesn't try to correct her wording because that'll be wasting time.

The other one looks too much like Surtr, and Surtr is gone now

Nitocris nods as she walked along with Epona. Once she sat down, she took a deep breath before looking over to the red haired girl. "Relax alright? Hopefully this won't take long." And so, Nitocris extended her hand toward the girl. A magic circle would appear at the palm of her hand before she pushed it into Epona, her finger reaching to her forehead as she drawn a egyptian symbol with magical energy. It's at best a poor imitation of memory probing, but Nitocris need to take any chance she could have right now.

Epona closes her eyes when Nitocris touches her forehead, wrinkling her eyebrows. "Your hand is cold." She's not trying to complain, but she can't help but make note of it. She tries to be as calm as possible, simply breathing in and out slowly. ". . ." Because of how much she trusts her, Nitocris could be able to access her memories already, but if she's not calm enough, it might end up being difficult.

"Sorry about that.." Nitocris apologize for not warming up her hand to be comfortable. Regardless, she continues on with her trip down Epona memory lane. She's having quite a hard time due to Epona being anxious, but she couldn't exacty focus on two things right now.

Since the magical connection letting Nitocris look at her memories is compromised of a makeshift ritual for looking into someones mind and vague intimacy, the memories begin with hazy images of her early childhood. There's nothing standing out about her family, but the images still become less and less clear as Epona grows more nervous. @NoLongerdEd

Looks like she couldn't ignore how nervous Epona was, if only Muramasa was here to help her calm her down. But she'll make do with what's dealt to her hand. "Epona, are you afraid of magic?" Nitocris asked, suddenly starting a small talk as she venture through the hazy images of Epona past, searching through it.

"Magic?" Epona keeps breathing calmly. She's not aware of how nervous she actually is. "No, I'm not. Am I doing something wrong?" Her memories are still too washed out to really find anything, but even if they're clearer, it's still just childhood images and nothing to do with Surtr.

"No don't worry about it. You just seemed too nervous and made me think such way. But if you aren't, please don't worry, it's not like you'll lose your memory because of this." Nitocris gave her comment as she goes away from Epona childhood image, even if she's curious. Afterall, she have a task right now.

"Mhm." Epona nods, her eyes still closed. It's not what she's nervous about, but hearing Nitocris' voice calms her down. Now, the memories of cherishing and losing her family are more clearer, but it still has nothing to do with Surtr. Nitocris will have to search more directly to get to those, since they're memories she's already lost.

Nitocris probes deeper, going past Epona old memory as she search for any resemblance of Surtr inside her mind. Muramasa might have severed their connection, but memories of Surtr will still exist inside her regardless, less Muramasa could even cut through such concept, which Nitocris highly doubt.

By the time Nitocris reaches the image of the weapon, Epona is in a tranquil state. Nitocris can't get a full and detailed image of Thor's hammer, but from what she's seen, Muramasa should be able to turn it into a weapon. "Ah..? It's done?" Epona drowsily opens her eyes, her cheeks flushed.

The five Romans have all been huddled in a room of the temple, not taking a single step outside.

When one of them sneaks out, Veronica catches sight of him. It's the young dark-haired guard who was standing watch.

And so, after her training the shrine maiden has ventured out into the wilderness of singularity five. Eventually arriving at her destination. Dressed in her elegant black kimono, her search was for one particular master candidate she has known since her childhood back at the Shirakawa Shrine. That being the demon hunter, Taishi Kanu. A member of the demon hunter organization, the same very organization that trained her in her skills and swordsmanship. Due to their family connections, she was allowed this and of course. She treated those in the Taishi clan like they were her second family. "Now where are you Kanu onii san?"

He was off somewhere and was doing...A patrol of the temple. Nothing was getting close, no Giants nor wolves nor other world ending events so that was good. He did t think he was ready for that last part. Regardless as for Naomi with her moving about and whatnot she saw a figure. Among other figures that seemed to have idle in the area. It was her grandfather, no weapon, standing in a familiar Ho-hum manner that was to be expected of him. It was a guardian, Naomi walked into Kanu's aura of guardian spirts of which she could see said master nearby.

"Jiji?!" Naomi said in surprise, after all. The last time she saw him, at least alive was during the night he tasked her to go to Chaldea and prepare for her eventual journey as a master. So seeing him here brought some sense of joy, and a sense of sadness that she was not able to attend his funeral. After gathering herself and realizing it was but a guardian spirit after detecting this.. strange aura. Her eyes shifted to the master. Immediately the shrine maiden called out. "Kanu onii chan! Over here!"

That honor tic was one rarely used but he was called out. Causing him to turned around and go to where she was Bundled up, scarf and knitted hat on his head there was Kanu as the spell for the time being disappeared. "Miko."

"it is me! Naomi! Don't you remember? Grandfather Ishida used to be your employer, and teacher if I recall. And we used to play after your lessons. You were always faster than me when we raced down the long stairs of the shrine?" Naomi immediately brought up old memories from the Shirakawa Shrine as she excitedly spoke to the magus. Still, he does not seem to have recognized her so perhaps these experiences may bring up some of those.

"Shirakawa..Right..you are not a kid anymore...another reminder that getting old..." Regardless she was unceremoniously lifted up wrapped his arms around her and snuggled her up accordingly. Young lady or not, they viewed each other as siblings more or less. Gosh he is getting old...that's gonna be on his mind for a bit.

"W-woah!" Naomi's eyes widened in shock as she felt she was lifted up by Kanu. A small blush appeared on her lips as she pouted, being treated like a kid despite essentially being a young adult woman. Immediately she would say. "Kanu onii san, put me down! I am not a little kid anymore!" She squirmed a bit but not enough to really be a threat to the hug. Regardless she would calm down after a few moments and embrace him as well.

"I am not a little kid anymore.." He repeated her words making his point as she eventually hugged him back and him placeingt her back on her feet. "You certainly looking look the part if anything, as close to a Miko as your family would let you.... Unofficially so." He mused. She was a master, how about that.

"MMMMGGGH!!!" Repeating her words back at her seems to have just made her act more like her little kid self. Lightly stomping the ground in protest. If anything she is probably the spitting image of the young girl she used to be that ran around. Pouting when things do not go her way. "Hmm.. grandfather has decided to not make me a miko after that incident with Ayame. To this day, I still.. wish I took that situation with a more level headed tone."

Young Naomi, level headed. "Doubt" That's all he said on that as he continued on. "That will most likely not stop your practices and teaching as you are now the last of your family line until this is all taken off, the same of me more or less. "But I am sure that even if he was around he would have been delighted on seeing all the divine spirits around us."

"I am sure Grandfather Ishida would indeed be delighted. Considering the Wakemitama of Amaterasu is here in Chaldea. As well as the divine presence of Tsukuyomi." Naomi would then release him from the embrace. A soft sigh leaving her lips as she merely fixed her slightly crumpled clothing. "And no, I am not the last of my family line here, Kanu onii chan. I have you don't I? You will and always will be my nii sama. Still, i have to ask why you are here in Chaldea."

"A aspect of Amaterasu and a presence of Tsukuyomi... Huh." That made sense but at the very least Naomi was in good...Company? He didn't know the right word for it. Divine beings tends to have their own agenda.... His eyes shifted to Naomi she too tend to have agendas of her own... "I'm still here yes so you have that going for you. As for why I am here.." He gave a small shrug of his shoulders, Some folks here are mixed blood, inversion is a thing that can happen. Think of it as a precaution or something."

"Ah, so you shared the same duty as I do. Have you also heard that someone who possesses one of the divine bodies of Japan is here? Ohirume Amane. Still, I suppose stranger things have happened." Naomi would then raise an eyebroe as her crimson eyes stared into Kanu. "Say, onii chan. Have you ever heard of what happened to Granfather Ishida?"

"First time I'm hearing of her. May she had a...Uh... Eventually time with us. If anything she won't be bored I'm sure." He said before continuing. "I heard of what happened. It's why I got a spirit of him in his image... Spiritual Evocation is...A doozy."

"Then, I assume you already heard of the incident with.. Ayame nee chan...?" Naomi's mood visibly changed. Being upset with merely recalling her sister. Her sister and now her granfather havr both passed away, and even now she still couldn't believe it. Both the miracle of life and fragility of it. "...."

He shook his head. "Nope, that one I don't know much on. Given the complete shift in tone and mood it is serious?" He asked her as he gave the mimo his attention.

"Yes, it is quite the serious one, it is also why I haven't become an official miko after training fot so long." Naomi would then pull out an ofuda tag and write the name of her twin older sister Ayame in expert calligraphy of kanji. "I suppose it was during autumn so you weren't there.'

"Well may as well hear it then. And what pray tell has happened to Ayame then?" He said with his arms fold. He was only around during the Summer and no other point of the year, even if he was asked a few times to show up in the other seasons.

"Years ago in the shrine. Grandfather Ishida has tasked me and Ayame regarding the extinction of an iso-onna. You know what it is, a dangerous youkai that drags people with's long hair into the ocean to consume them. It was the cause of tourists disappearing and Grandfather Ishida said that if we finish this task both of us would become full fledged shrine maidens. Although..." Naomi sighed, as if upset by this. "It ended in the worst way possible.."

A small hum came out of him, a frown of his lips before finally raising a hand to silence her. "It is safe to assume what has happen and the end result...I'll go and do a guardian in her honor.." He said with a small sigh.

The shrine maiden stopped as soon as Kanu raised his hand, if it continued. It was obvious that Naomi would have broke down in tears. And she certainly has grown both mentally and physically ever since their last meeting. Embracing the demon hunter once more, she would just speak one thing "I missed you, Kanu onii chan.."

*He was hugged once more. Another confirmation that he was missed by the shine maiden. He missed her as well but alas She pinned his arms against his sides. He couldn't really hug her back *
